Tambo Downs is a stud directed by Kaye and Jeff McNeill. We have quality stock plus elite genetics. We have a very real belief in quality service. We expect it ourselves and we give it in return. Our company's philosophy is that this is a people industry as well as animal genetics.

Jeff and Kaye have background in physiotherapy and allied health. We have been self-employed for 25 years in physiotherapy. We moved from Melbourne 9 years ago and have enjoyed the rural lifestyle of breeding Alpacas.

Kaye has a passion for Alpaca fibre, both as an artist and a contributor to research. Kaye is currently partaking in research relating to Suri lustre. Kaye is a textile artist in her spare time and in 2002 was part of a Fibre Exhibition at Queen Hall - Melbourne.

Kaye and Jeff bring with them energy and determination as well a scientific background.

Tambo Downs Fernando was 3rd at the 2002 National Alpaca Show as Intermediate White Suri Male. He was Supreme Suri Champion at the Traralgon Show 2002. He now has his first drops on the ground and they are looking excellent in locking, fineness and lustre. His Amador genetics will be very useful. Fernando's first offspring on the gound - Tambo Downs Masterpiece was shown successfully at the National Alpaca Show 2005 and received a 3rd place in the Junior White Suri males.

Supreme Sires and Stud Males

We have two streams of working males. We have the genetics to assist your herd improvement. Currently working at stud is Pucara Halcyon as our Supreme line. He is a magnificent white lustrous Suri male by ILR Helado and dam, ILR NGG Pperuvian Geneve.

We have Meadow Creek Keaulani, a fawn Suri male in our stud line sired by ILR NGG Bentley (LF) Suri and dam, ILR Peruvian Chambray (SW) Suri.

Mating fees for Pucara Halcyon $1,100 for Suri mating and $770 for crossings with Huacaya.

For our stud stock line we also offer a mating program. The fee for this service is $990 for Suri matings and $770 for crossings with Huacaya.

Our stud has access to the genetics of 10 supreme males, Suri and Huacaya, white and coloured and we have the offspring of these animals on farm.

We sell our genetics of your animals for you on our website.
