Tambo Downs is a stud directed by Kaye and Jeff McNeill.

Tambo Downs, Pucara and Purrumbete herds are located at our property.  Puccara and Purrumbete is jointly owned with Australians Jude Anderson and Al Cousill, now living in Oregon, USA and we jointly own Purrumbete with Jude, Al and Charles Wilson of Noosa, Queensland. The Pucara and Purrumbete herds relocated to Tambo Downs in 2006.

Juda and Al own Puccara International.  Jude is a highly respected international Alpaca judge, judging at many national shows in many countries.

We have quality stock plus elite genetics. We have a very real belief in quality service. We expect it ourselves and we give it in return. Our company's philosophy is that this is a people industry as well as animal genetics.

Jeff and Kaye have background in physiotherapy and allied health.

We have been self-employed for 30 years in physiotherapy.

We moved from Melbourne 16 years ago and have enjoyed the rural lifestyle of breeding Alpacas.

Jeff was an international runner and competed over 25 years at both National and International level running distance events including marathons. He retired after 2000 and is now full-time Alpaca Stud Manager and breeder.

Kaye and Jeff bring with them energy and determination as well a scientific background.
